I'm upgrading my wedding set in a few months and am looking at possibly getting a yellow gold 3mm channel-setting full circle diamond band or (if my wonderful husband permits), a yellow gold shared setting full circle diamond band, which is nearly twice as much. The yellow gold shared-setting only comes in the 3mm size.

Has anyone who owns either of these bands had any problems like missing stones, embedded grime in between cleanings, difficult to clean, or any other issues?

Also, there are limited views of these rings on the website and online. If you have pictures, I'd LOVE to see them on you as well as views from the side, inside, at an angle, with the e-ring or plain bands etc.

I have a 2mm channel set half eternity band, and I have had no issues with it, mind you I rarely wear my rings, but still, no issues. I abandoned shared prong rings after constant issues with the exposed stones grinding prongs on my engagement rings, and girdles getting damaged on the eternity bands. Tiffany's ring will be no exception. Obviously a shared prong is more exposed than a channel set and will therefore be more easily damaged and prone to loose stones. More gunk will get into a channel set, but again, I don't wear my rings when they can get gunky (no cooking, cleaning, lotions, etc), and I clean them constantly.

Thanks, this really helps. I like the streamlined look of the channel setting, but also am drawn to the elegant look of the shared-prong. To know that the channel band is more "user-friendly", makes me lean towards it for now. I have yet to try them on in-store.

I also have a channel set half eternity ring (0.75 carat) and not had any issues with losing stones in 3.5 years I've had it. Like Ame I don't wear it to cook, clean etc. I absolutely love it and it gets a huge amount of compliments. My brother is a jeweller so he does all my ring cleaning ;)

What type of e-ring do you wear it with? Do you have any pictures? :blushing::blushing:

I have the 3mm channel set eternity. No trouble with stones falling out. It cleans up easily. I use an ultrasonic cleaner or a baby toothbrush and dish soap.

Thanks for the cleaning tips. I never thought to use an ultrasonic cleaner. Now I want to buy a special baby toothbrush instead of the big one I use. :urock:

Aw thanks! Have you been try any on yet?

Not in person, but I've used that app to death :) we will be visiting a tiffany store for my husband's birthday (his gift to me). Hopefully I'll be able to find all 3 of my rings.

Right now I'm leaning towards the e-ring 1ct with a metro band in yellow gold and the Elsa peretti stacking band in the right hand in yellow gold.
