Hello everyone,I hope everyone is well. I’m new to this website. I’m so happy I found this website. With that said, I’m looking to buy my first vintage Chanel purse. I’m waiting to see if this is authentic or not but in the meanwhile wanted to ask if changing the straps to chain leather would be a mistake? I read a thread on this and a lot said it would be a mistake unless your not looking to sell. I’m not, I’m starting this collection because I recently found the love of bags but I’m always thinking of passing them on to my daughters. I’ve recently bought vintage Gucci and LV, and now moved on to Chanel. I do want a flap, but that’s one I will buy with time since I’m willing to spend. But for now I want to buy some on lower cost and maybe restore. Here’s one I like because of the pink color. You can’t tell it’s pink but if you see the other pics, the pink shows up. I wanted to add this Chanel gold hardware also to the straps. Of course, I would take the leather inside the strap to match the purse. I’m hoping that I don’t offend anyone with doing such changes, but again it’s not that I’m looking to sell but hoping my daughters will have somewhere to start.
