So I currently own a 12 year old 26mm stainless/wg datejust with diamond markers. I'm thinking to upgrade it to 28mm tt with diamond markers such as the picture attached.

My question is, if I want to upgrade again later but only change the bezel to all diamond, is it possible? Would Rolex do it? And does anyone know roughly how much it would cost? Thank you

Your best bet is to go to your local Jeweler (who represents Rolex) and ask them. You can definitely change the inner plate and the bezel, but I'm not sure you can go from a 26mm to a 28mm. Regardless, expect it to cost a pretty penny (unfortunately)!!

Thanks! I meant I will get a new a new watch now, change from ss/wg to tt, and also change the size).
But later at some point I'm thinking I might want to just change the bezel. For my lifestyle now I don't want something too flashy but maybe at some point I would want one with all diamond bezel.
But is it too expensive? Is it better to just upgrade to tt diamond bezel now?

My only experience with this is my mother who wanted more bling so had a jeweler change out her bezel. She could’ve had Rolex do it with an authentic Rolex branded bezel but decided it was too expensive so she has a non-Rolex diamond bezel installed by a local jeweler.
I dislike it immensely.
It just doesn’t look exactly right to my eye.
Also, I think it devalues her perfectly fine watch to put a non-Rolex bezel on it.
But it’s a personal preference.
There are a lot of options out there.
If you go with Rolex, it will simply cost more. More for the bezel piece itself and more for the labor. However, you will end up with a totally authentic Rolex watch.
If you have the ability, I would recommend buying the new Rolex with the blingy bezel you want now.

I would definitely ask Rolex. I tried to change my watch from oyster to jubilee bracelet and they said no. Ugh I would have kept the watch had they allowed it.
It’s nice to have that option to change the bezel and if they do it would be pricey for sure.
