Has the post office recently changed the types of messages that show up on their online tracking system?

When I went to track a package that I'm expecting, this is the message I get:

"Arrival at Post Office, March 08, 2010, 5:50 am, LANSING, MI. All sorting has been completed at the delivery unit for today's deliveries at 9:12 AM on March 8, 2010 in LANSING, MI."

Is this a new way of saying, "out for delivery" or are they just saying that it's arrived and it will be delivered tomorrow? I just have never seen this message before.

When I see this in my area(its arrived at my PO with the same message)..it usually means it will be delivered that same day in my experiences...they might not have put the out for delivery msg..and might only put when its actually delivered

At USPS we are doing an additional scan now, once we have the mail of the day sorted out. It's supposed to generate this message so that customers who are checking know they should receive their package that day.
