Hi All, a newbie here. After reading countless threads and reviews here and all over the internet, I still can't make my mind up over my first investment bag. Can you help?
I do want to invest, but don't want to overpay, so that bit makes me question Chanel. In the end, the Classic Flap has gone up in price significantly only because everyone wanted to have it. Fully understandable. Quality is the most important thing for me here. Out of the 3 mentioned above, who would you choose and why? It's for an everyday/going out purpose and whilst I'm not hell-bent on it, a chain suits my style more than a plain strap.
As a cheaper alternative, there's also Sezane that I generally like for quality, although the bigger they get, the less of the quality. But their bags are said to be good. I've heard of Chylak bags, too, but I don't know how sold on it as there are supposedly hardware issues (gold plating wearing off etc).

HELP, please...?

Yes, that’s exactly my problem and you’re right, I’m here to represent ‘Sezane’. What does that even mean? Sorry, didn’t realise this is a forum for lunatics. My bad.

I imagine you are here to represent 'Sezane',

There is truly no need for this type of cynicism towards a new member.

...as it is unnecessary to call our members lunatics.

Hope you find the answers you're looking for, @kmhs - but I do agree that generally bags are never investments.

Hi there! It would be helpful if you post pics/links of which bags you’re considering. Lazy people like me aren’t ever going to look them up. I also never regard my bags as investments. Good luck in the search!

Agreed. Those brands have lots of options and that covers a huge price range. Also you need a better definition of quality. Most bags above price x are durable. What you pay extra for is fit and finish and brand reputation. How important is that to you. Also it isn’t a neat line between price and fit and finish.

Hi there! I can actually vouch for that issue with Chylak - just got my first crossbody from there last week and it arrived with the gold lettering already wearing off. I don't want to return it as they are sold out everywhere and I had been on the waiting list for a while with no luck... but damn. I do love the bag though, its got that cool factor that I don't see with most of the premiers.
