Chanel small Boy or Lady D Joy Micro?

Hmmm, they're pretty different bags.
If I had to judge based on the current information given, then I would choose neither.
I've never had either bag so I can't comment on wear and tear. The only thing I know is that people apparently have lots of issues with the Boy bag and the lambskin that Dior uses tend to be on the delicate size.
I can't wear metallics well, and I prefer the D-joy in a medium size (or at least a small).
If the D-joy you were looking at was a small or medium, I'd definitely go for it though.

I agree and find even the small djoy very small. Generally speaking, even the medium is a small bag.
I believe the dimensions of the micro djoy are 3.5 x 6.3 x 2 inches so it's smaller even than some chained wallets. The small boy is still very small but slightly larger by a couple inches.
Are you specifically looking for a micro bag? If so, I believe the Dior would match more and look more classic than the metallic green color.

FYI I was at Dior today and did not see any micro D-joys so I inquired and they brought one out. It was a shiny light pink and was super cute but it was so tiny, it would not even fit my phone. I think this bag would be good for maybe a key fob and lipstick and that's about it. Tiny but very cute.
Not a fan of either tbh. I like Dior but I'm not a fan of top handle bags, and Boy is my least favorite Chanel.

I think you have to try them on. Both are somewhat heavy for their size
ETA: someone on TPF called the original JPG shoulder birkin a halfling (presumably referencing hobbits and Tolkien) and I kind of think the same applies to these diors. I only have one lady dior bc of weight issues and bc I find the flap annoying. I only have one tiny boy bag bc of weight too.

I have a old medium boy in caviar and a D-joy. I love both in different ways.
Never had a problem with the boy. Fits a good amount. Would I buy a small? No. I think it's TOO small. Regarding materials, I would stay away from patent or metallics. I have heard that patent leather doesn't age well and just like metallics, it cannot be restored.
D-joy micro. It is really MICRO lol If you like micro bags, then you will definitely enjoy it. I got the size up and I do love it. It fits everything I need and I do not think I need to baby it. That being said, I would probably look for the d-joy pre-owned or a small boy pre-owned in caviar My 2 cents
