Chanel shoe defect - help me decide!

Hello everyone! I was so excited about getting these beautiful ballet flats but was so bummed to find out that they arrived with some defects. Specifically, the metal anchor of the leather chain bow on the front of the left shoe sticks out from outside to inside of the leather, pricking my toe when I put it on. Otherwise the shoes fit nicely. I was going to return the ballets but was told this style in my size has already sold all over US and it’s unclear at the moment whether more stock will be available. I absolutely love these ballets minus the defect and would hate to miss out on them.

So, for those of you who have had similar experiences, do you think this defect can be fixed? Is it worthy to keep these ballets and use a cobbler to fix the issue or should I just return them? Thanks so much for your input!

I suggest taking them back to Chanel and explaining the issue. I am sure they will be able to rectify. I have only had an issue with a pair of shoes a couple of times but both times the problem was easily rectified.

It’s quite hard with shoes at the moment to find sizes and if you really like the shoe then it’s better to just get it fixed.

Thank you! I’ve reached out to my SA and see if anything can be done to it. I so hope that Chanel can do something about it. 🥹

Hi, are you in US? . Take them to the boutique and see if your SA could get you in contact with repair service and see what they tell you :). GL

Return them. It’s understandable how it happened but even if “repaired” they’ll never be as they should be.

I ordered a pair of shoes at the boutique and they didn’t fit, and they’re also sold out… I took them back and was truly so sad but had to accept it.

Went to Neimans today and saw them on display, and somehow the next half size up (size I needed) was the 2nd to last pair in the company, and they’re on their way to me.
The SA was shocked, said he thought the size 6 on display was the final pair company wide…

My point is, take them back if they’re not right, if it’s meant to be you’ll get them Lol
