Hello Chanel lovers,

My SA said they are receiving one of the bags that I am looking for, but they don't know when they will receiving it. Is there a pattern on which days the shipments come in? Do boutiques receive shipments on Saturdays and Sundays, or is it mostly on weekdays?
Or should I just check with them daily? Will checking with them twice a day be too much? They said their store doesn't do waitlist, so it would be first come first served. I do not want to miss the bag if it comes in and my SA is too busy to check it.

I would appreciate any thoughts on best practice.

Ask her! I remember mine telling me the best days and times to check with them.... I've forgotten now as I'm not in the market for anything,
Also, if my SA off on a particular day, but I want to check if the store will receive any shipments, should I text my SA anyway ? Or should I just ring the store (since it’s inside a department store) and have someone else check it for me?

What exactly are you looking for? Just trying to gauge how difficult it can be to get

If your SA can't be bothered to let you know when it's in, and straight up told you it's first come first serve, she is obviously not making you a priority so I don't see any reason for you to be loyal and make that SA a priority. If your SA is off the day that bag comes in, it doesn't matter. Grab it fast or someone else will snap it up. Whoever gets the commission, gets the commission. Maybe you'll even find a new SA who IS willing to text you when something you really want comes in.

Thank you for your advice! My SA has been responsive so far, so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

The shipment pattern at my store seems random, they get shipments all through the week, but it seems like they always get a shipment in on Friday to prepare for the weekend rush.

Checking in twice a day would be too much. If your SA seems like she’s on top of things then maybe check in every couple of weeks. If the bag comes on a day when your SA is off, then you might miss the bag, so it would be best to figure out what days your SA is off and call the store to check on the status.

I would suggest you to call the department store and have them transfer u to the Chanel handbag department so that u can ask them to check whether the item is in stock or not rather than having to go there in person. I was told the same by a SA there first come first serve and since i'm new customer as well i have a hard time to find a good SA to work with. And i also heard rumor that the Chanel stores inside Saks and NM and maybe Chanel at Nordstrom as well, the SAs there are no longer receive commission on selling bag and jewelry. And that's also main reason why they dont give sht about us anymore...........

Not a rumor. Some are still getting commission for now, others none.
