Chanel purchase advice

Hi I have always wanted a genuine chanel bag and never thought I would have one. I have, however, inherited a modest amount of jewellery which I will never wear, so I thought I would sell it to buy a chanel bag. Not enough for a new but hopefully a used one. I have read a lot of threads on here and your combined knowledge is tremendous, and I hoped you could advise me.

I would like it to wear every day so needs to be tough, don't want it stuck on a shelf. I prefer a crossbody, the bag I am currently using every day is a Ralph Lauren 2 zipped camera bag, and I like the style. Can't manage a massive bag either. I have seen the coco boy camera bag, (not the mini) any opinions? Although I do like an outside compartment for my phone, so any ideas would be gratefully received. I know a classic is recommended as a first buy!

I am worried about being scammed as buying used, I have looked at Vestiaire Collective, is that OK? Are there other websites selling guaranteed genuine items please? I want to get it right as it will be my one and only, and buying used I wont have the privilege of trying the bag on.

Hi I can't advise on wear to buy as I haven't bought preloved chanel, i will say though get it authenticated if you go down that route. Regarding handbag have you thought ofthe business affinity? It comes to mind for me for a bag that checks your boxes, it's crossbody comes in a few sizes options, has an outside pocket and although seasonal is a classic style that is consistently in collections.

For buying used I recommend fashionphile because they guarantee authenticity and have a return policy.
I agree with hbflover with the suggestion of checking out The business affinity.
If you buy from someone else, definitely get it authenticated.

I would also recommend buying from fashionphile. They also have a 30 day return policy so you can return if it isn't what you expected. For something durable, I would recommend caviar or maybe aged calfskin. Take your time to research, there seems to be plenty of styles on the market and they tend to sit a while, so you can possibly get a discount.
