CHANEL Price - HELP!

I bought my first Chanel - large black caviar gold chain flat at Bloomingdales. It costed $2425 + tax.

I went back on the old forums and apparently they were cheaper back in 2006? I saw that some people bought it for less than $1700.

Did the price go up, or should I go to a Chanel boutique in Bev Hills to buy it?

That's the right price.
Of course prices have risen since 2006! Over-risen, but that's Chanel.
