Just curious what the Chanel fans out there think:

Large Reissue in grey vs. Luxury line flap bag in metallic black.

I'm looking for a long-term classic--curious what you guys think!

I saw luxury line IRL at the Chanel boutique and I still prefer my reissue. My DH was with me and he wasn't too impressed with the luxury line either. But you know how the saying goes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

You can't go wrong with either, but my vote would be for the reissue.

Ohhh. That's a tough one. I guess the Re-issue but that Black metallic is to die for. I would say that the Grey is less flashy than the metallic and so maybe more timeless in the end.... And especially since it is the 'anniversary' edition, it makes it even more special.

I love Jill's lux tote -- so agreed, Jill! But, I kind of don't like the chain and metallic thing that's going on on the lux flap bag -- just me, a kind of personal thing! I haven't seen it in real life, but it keeps on reminding me of stitches too much. Probably silly.

Also, I think those things make those lux bags less 'classic' and that's what you asked about.
