In my opinion no. This bag is made with crumpled calfskin. Some areas may appear more crumpled than others. I would not consider this a defect, I think it gives the bag character. Enjoy your new bag!
I would exchange. Looks like something crushed the corner. To me if this was the look of the bag both corners would look the same.
Looks crumpled to me too. Besides, if it's bothering you now, it is likely to catch your eye every time you look at it and just get worse. For the money that they charge for these things, the product should be flawless. No excuses.
I have noticed this especially with the smaller nanos. It’s made from crumpled calf so it depends on the particular piece of leather and they all have areas like this which appear worse in the smaller size. You can try and exchange but the next one might have similar problems in a different place. All my nanos have areas similar to this.
I would definitively get this exchanged. These bags are expensive and need to be to your satisfaction. It would bother me, and I would try to get a replacement, if I were you.
I agree with this ^. Also agree with @HD123. I’m not bothered by this particular bag corner. I saw a light colored pink one on this type of condition on Monday (I was there for something else) and it was on display.
I think that larger bags give the crumpled calf room to smooth out. I don’t think this is a defect but rather a characteristic of crumpled calf in this shrunken size.
When I have read threads of people trying to exchange Chanel bags, more often than not, the second bag is deemed worse, so I would examine each prospective bag IRL prior to any purchase.
ETA: with respect to the pink one I saw, if it were smooth, it would have looked like a plastic accessory for a Barbie doll. JMO though, YMMV

Exactly! If you don’t like the look of the wrinkles, this style bag in leather simply isn’t for you.
Definitely exchange it! It may be the nature of the leather. But it’s at the corner. Doesn’t look nice when only one side of the corner is crumbled like that.
Update !! found a repalcement corners are much mbetter than the prevous … problem solved !!

When the bag first introduced, it was the hottest Chanel bag, resale for nano was like $5-6,000. Now they making more of it and anyone can buy now, the market had died down especially nano, too small to be useful, hard to sell now. I would return it.
