I don't know whether anyone has posted on this yet, but Chanel is doing a project called "Mobile Art" that will be traveling around to different cities such as NY, L.A., Paris and London. It will feature art from 15 artists that were asked to create pieces inspired by Chanel's 2.55 Classic Flap bag . The project kicks off in January 2008 and is open admission to the public!

I think it's perfect, as the flap bags always seem like works of art in themselves to me. :P

^ hehe, that's the first thought that crossed my mind too seahorse!

I was at the LV MOCA exhibit last weekend, and was just thinking "I wish they had one of these for Chanel!" Maybe Karl L heard my thoughts? :P

ha ha ha....
yeah and karl and chanel's owner must be thinking about the "business" side too...
i don't believe these brands are purely thinking about the artistic side

I wish it was coming to L.A.!

i've seen the show in hong kong and it is worth going to if it ever comes around to your city.

you view the art individually as you are given a set of headphones that instructs you when to get up and travel to see the pieces of art. the voice of the speaker is this woman with a rather raspy voice. i'm not sure if that was meant to be a tribute to coco as i heard her voice described like that.
