Hi Ladies! I recently purchased a pre-loved classic flap. Original owner purchased the bag 12/2021 so it’s the microchip version. I was given a copy of the receipt, which shows it was purchased on 12/15/2021 at Beverly Hills. I registered the bag to chanel & moi program. Once registered, the date & location of purchase did not match the receipt, i will attach a screenshot from chanel & moi website. Seller said that she had the bag shipped to her, & it was purchase from Beverly Hills

When I purchased one of my flaps it was ordered from another Chanel store. I "purchased" it in Atlanta from my local SA... but it came from Portland.

I would say this is the situation? Especially if it's hard to get items.

And I am curious about the microchip authentication as well.

I purchased my 19 from the Atlanta NM boutique and my SA completed the registration. I received an email from Chanel with the information. There was nothing to do on my end. Hope this is helpful.

I think we are curious about the registration process buying second hand. I have the experience of SA registering for me when buying new, but I’m curious how you could register buying second hand? 🤷‍♀️

I am curious if it can even be moved from the original buyer as well. I have a few vintage pieces (pre-2000) that I had warrantied (snaps & zippers) and no questions were asked.. And no charge. Don't know if this was due to my history or Chanel's service standards.

And I'm working on the ability to read the chip with tag reader. I'll post up findings as there's nothing out there currently. I think it would be nice for us to be able to have a reader and verify that the chip reads the serial number that is on the tag. I would feel much more comfortable buying second had with a chip reader.

It can‘t.
I asked several times. The will not do it. But they told me you still have full warranty when you are able to show the original receipt

Hey Guys! I have purchased a preloved Chanel form 2023, Monacoco Logo Blocks Square Flap Bag Quilted Lambskin with Resin in Red. I know we cannot scan the chips without the Chanel tech but trying to figure out characteristics of what to look for on microchip. The branding and numbers are smooth to touch and cannot feel anything on the surface of the chip, should I feel the engraving of the numbers or CC? Also, I saw online that chips are usually 4cm but this is about 2cm which could make sense as a mini style? Would love some help in figuring it out 🕵️‍♂️
