Anyone here familiar with both Lancome and Chanel foundation colors? I'm transferring from Lancome to Chanel. Sublimate Le Teint looks to be the perfect one for my skin.....dry and aging quickly....and could use help with color choice.

Heard long ago, when still cute with beautiful skin I didn't appreciate......heard older women state they had to stop wearing powder of any kind....powder was the enemy. I've hit that stage.....my goodness it got here too quickly. At any rate....if anyone reading this is familiar with this specific Chanel cosmetic.....let's chat.....please!

Also, Chanel's nail polish is incredible! And their mascara......Wow!

Chanel's cosmetics is a new world for me and I'm excited.....anyone else?

I love Chanel Beauty! Haven’t tried Lancome so can’t help you with color match.
For anti-aging, I prefer using it for skincare (No. 1 is my fave this month) and then something light for foundation (like Les Beige or No. 1). Go try the one you fancy if you can! Hope you find your skin match soon!

Lots of reformulations at Chanel, so just make sure you read the newest reviews for all products. I'm glad you found a foundation that suits you well.

The issue if you son't lightly set your foundation is that it's hard to use power colours over the top (bronzers, blush, highlighters). If you don't use those then no problem, you could also use cream products for colour or contour. You can use Trinny London pots that are all creams.

As for power, not all powders are the same. By Terry and Koh Gen Do and others make some that shouldn't dry out your skin. You could also skip setting-powder, and once the foundation has dried-down, instead, use a mixed-fibre bristle brush with a finishing powder like Hourglass' Ambients or Guerlain Meteorites and sweep on gently. You'll use very little product, get a very subtle luminosity and/or blur, and it may be enough to set before applying other powder products.

I do enjoy Lancome skincare products but have never tried their makeup.

I love Chanel foundation but like @papertiger said, they do reformulations so best to try it on in-stores when you can.
I tend to go for foundations with lighter coverage, more liquid-like consistency. And I've really enjoyed Ultra Le Teint, Vitalumiere Aqau, and Les Beiges water-fresh tint (listing in order of heaviest to lightest coverage).

But if you skin is more dry, I suggest to moisturize your face well beforehand or choose a foundation with a creamier consistency.
I'm also hitting the age in which my skin has started to change and become much drier. (and California weather is not helping lol)

I have 1 Chanel compressed powder foundation, and I don't use it as foundation...lol, I use it for blending my eyeshadow. But I have loved using it and have not had any issues for my purposes.

On a side note, Chanel eyeshadow is a hit or or a miss for me. For some quads, over time, the product can sort of clump up and stick together and it gets very difficult to get any product onto a brush. However, Chanel eyeshadows, in general, are not very pigmented though you can build it up to a certain degree. Dior eyeshadows have a better texture and pigmentation IMO. But I am such a sucker for Chanel packaging haha. :P

Have you tried matching your shade on findation(dot)com? It will suggest shade range based on what you already use.

I can't advise on foundation, my skin is oily (and I like Lancome better than Chanel).

I wear a lot of Chanel foundations. I'm 46 with normal-dry skin and I prefer light to medium coverage from a foundation. My personal favorites are the Les Beiges Healthy Glow (which I find is more of a satin finish, not overly glowy), the No1 de Chanel, and Vitalumiere Aqua. I also like the Water Fresh Tint, although the coverage is quite sheer. I love wearing that during the summer.

In Lancome foundation (Teint Miracle was my favorite), I would typically wear Ivoire 100N, sometimes 110. I'm a true neutral skintone, but sometimes things with a cooler or pink undertone work well for me. In Chanel I almost always wear BR12, although I can also wear B10.

You might check out Armani's Crema Nuda tinted moisturizer. The texture is a thicker gel-cream (reminds me of Chantecaille Future Skin), but the finish is satin and it is very hydrating. I have the jar version, but I'd have to check when I get home to see what color I wear though... I *think* it is #1 Nude Glow. The La Mer Radiant skin tint is another one of my favorites. It is hydrating and actually provides nice light coverage, and lasts very well for me.

My other favorite Chanel cosmetic products are the loose powder and the waterproof eye stylo liners. I also love the Chanel nail polishes. YSL and Dior polishes are worth checking out as well, and I just picked up a couple of the Hermes, although I have not tried them yet.

Thank you, so much good info and tips. Never crossed my mind to try Armani.......I need hydration! I use La Mer's products, enjoying their moisturizers but haven't tried the tint....you've talked me into scooting over there. ;-)

Not too familiar with Lancome, but have been using Chanel a long time. Sublimage Le Teint is great for mature, very dry skin. Personally, I didn't love it. But do love Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow, along with their cream bronzer and blush. This combo leaves a very nice dewy finish. I hardly ever use powder, but have the Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre, which is the only powder that doesn't dry me out so much, for special occasions.

I have the sublimage tent, the cream bronzer, the blush and the poudre libre powder but haven't tried the healthy glow. Will do! Thanks for the tip. I like dewy very much. Getting harder to achieve.....well, with my glasses off, I look dewy, put them on.....not so much. ;-)

I have been using the Sublimage Le Teint recently (purchased it around Christmas), and I really like it. Right now, it is probably one of my favorite foundations, in fact! My skin is normal-dry and I don't find it overly hydrating, heavy, greasy, or dewy. I would call it more of a natural satin finish, but it might be dewier if you apply more heavily and do not set with powder (I almost always set with powder). I like that I can wear it quite sheer, and still see my freckles through it. (I have read that Meghan Markle sometimes wears this foundation, if that's helpful.)

I adore Sublimage L'Essence De Tient priced at $150 USD. I don't know Lancome and I have La Prairie and La Mer foundation. This Chanel foundation comes with a brush - its my new holy grail foundation. I adore Chanel lipliners and little square bottles of pure perfume. I enjoy the mascara as well.
