Hi Everyone!!

I wanted your opinions on this Tom Ford bag.

I own 2 Celine bags and 5 Chanel bags. I'm very particular on what designer bags I buy as I don't want something that will be in today, forgotten tomorrow kind of thing.

I love the color of this Tom Ford Icon Disco bag. It reminds me of the gold patent Chanel Boy I missed out on a year ago.. So my question is do you think this bag is too trendy?

For me personally, I think Tom Ford hasn't been established enough in the handbag world to be charging the prices he is. I remember when the Natalia bag first came out, and when I saw it on Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow, I thought about buying the bag, but at $3000+, I had similar concerns that you do, that the bags would be too trendy. I'm glad I held off, because I haven't seen too much of the bags since, and even celebrity wearers seem to have decreased. I just think that the bags haven't proved their staying power yet.

That being said, you should buy whatever you love and whatever makes you happy!!!

I happen to be a Tom Ford lover and I like that these bags are a little bit unknown, and off the radar. I have bought the Jennifer bag and I get comments on it wherever I go and the quality is great. My only comment about this bag is the large TF logo on it, which I also feel that way about the large GG on disco bag....these days more people seem to prefer the quieter, less logo'd look. But...someday, logo's will be back in vogue and if you like the bag who cares what anyone else thinks. Some of the TF bags go on sale from time to time on Neimans and Bergdorfs....I managed to save about 50% on mine in last Jan. Is this for an evening bag, or how do you plan to use it?

This is unrelated, but did you score your jennifer 50% off? I've been hoping to find one at a more reasonable price.

Love Tom Ford for sunglasses, perfumes, and lipsticks (I have over 20), but not as much for handbags. So I would pass on this one with such big logo.

I got the large shoulder bag on sale-the smaller Jennifers also go on and off sale but usually colors other than black. My bag was large but the way it balances on your shoulder is it very comfortable.

TF shoes seem to be doing really well at Neimans.

I love Tom Ford sunglasses, mascara and eye shadow and think some of the handbags are really nice! The logo on the bag you're eyeing is too big for my taste but if you love it, I say go for it! :smile1:

Thank you everyone for your help! While I do love TF shoes and lipsticks, I think I'm going to hold off on the bag for now. Don't want to invest in something I'm not sure of. Thanks again, everyone!

Wow ! so lucky! I missed out on one at bergdorfs within a few hours of it being purchased and didn't even think to ask if Neiman's had it, but they made it seem it was only one.

I Love the understated ness off TF bags. I too have mostly Chanel a few Chloe, LV Goyard Roger Vivier and Valentino. So I've been wanting something different. I literally just contacted my SA yesterday (before reading this thread) asking her what TF she had. She had great news said a bunch were on sale.

She sent me these photos of some styles that are avail:
