Hello I’m thinking of letting this go. It’s the black large one that I’ve never used to date. Will I regret it?

I’ve not really been one to sell many bags as I don’t buy to resell and I do collect but I’m thinking I perhaps need to let some go. Really conflicted as to whether I’d regret this as it’s kinda iconic…

Sell or keep?

I don’t have a “one in, one out” policy but I do purge regularly.

I have rules and I have created them only after learning what works for me. I can love a bag but if it doesn’t meet the criteria, it must go.

1) it can’t be fussy. I hate fussy closers. Honestly, I sold my hermes Kelly 32 for that reason which hurt my heart. I won’t carry a bag hanging open (not safe) and even closing the flap when the bag was loaded was a pain.

2) I need to reach for it often OR if it is an occasion bag, I need to enjoy carrying it

3) I can’t do high maintenance bags. Anything I need to constantly worry about (don’t carry it in the rain, don’t wear jeans with it, don’t touch it if you put lotion on your hands in the last 12 hrs blah blah). Nope, not gonna work.

I have sold hundreds of bags at this point. Some very coveted. Never regretted one. Good luck.

Wow. You've thought this through and are very organized. My closet is full. Some items I don't carry, but still cannot sell. There are bags I've fallen back in love with and I'm glad I didn't let go.

^^ lol. I don’t deserve that much credit, I am just an “absolutes” kind of person. If something isn’t a “hell yes”, it’s a “hell no”.

That doesn’t mean a bag will work in every situation with every outfit but it needs to really perform when it’s given it’s moment.

I'm that way with new purchases, but not my bags and jewelry for some reason. Tastes change, and they always fit.. so they stay lol
