I need an everyday casual watch. I am debating between the Chanel J12 Ceramic Watch in Black in the 33mm (I think - or the smallest size) - Sorry I couldn't link the photo from the actual Chanel website:

or the Cartier Tank Francaise in the Medium size with the datejust in Stainless:

or the Rolex Oyster Perpetual but in all stainless in the 31mm size (the medium size). I couldn't find a photo of the exact watch I wanted but it looks like this photo but all stainless steel with the roman numerals in silver with a white face:

I currently own a Rolex with a silver face with a white gold bezel and a jubilee bracelet in a small size. I think that I eventually want the Cartier Tank Francaise in the yellow gold but not right now:

Please help me choose!!!

I like the Cartier. It's very nice....almost too nice for daily wear. I'm a fan of Rolex owning a submariner myself. I am familiar with the exact watch you are looking at. I thought about getting that one for my wife. I would choose the Rolex over the others although since you do own one I would go with the Cartier Tank. I know the Rolex you currently own is much dressier and you likley wear it going out and not as a daily watch but I personally like to collect a variety of watches.

For a casual watch, I think the Tank is the best choice. I think its the perfect watch for all outfits, and looks especially good with casual outfits. You already have a Rolex so you probably can wait on getting another one. I personally worry about the J12 going out of style and not being a watch you could wear for the next 20 years without it looking dated (I realize my opinion is much different than most, so I hope I don't offend).

I have a white J12 33mm diamond bezel that I LOVE! Don't have to worry about scatches. I want a black one, now. All the watches are lovely, though. Tough decision.

How about a cross between the Chanel J12 and the Rolex:

I love the Tank, it's a classic elegant watch.
If you have more of a classic look, it would be perfect for you.

If you are a bit more sporty, then the J12 or the Rolex.

I'd lean towards the J12, since you already have a Rolex, and want a different Tank

I have the Cartier tank and the 33 J12 with diamond markers.
I love them BOTH but I have to say lately i prefer my J12 over my tank. The tank is dressier i think..................But I ADORE my J12.My tank seems too small after wearing my J12~

I love both watches, but give my vote to the J12 since you 1) already own a Rolex and 2) are already thinking you'd like to get that same Cartier model in yellow gold in the future. And I don't think you need to worry about J12s being dated or going out of style; lately I've noticed a few high-end watch brands (those that don't typically make trendy pieces) are making watches with J12-like styling and 20k+ price tags!

I say all three! I have the rolex and J12. I was originally torn between the rolex and Cartier tank. The tank is simple and elegant. what sold me on the rolex is that you can wear it all the time and never really have to worry about it. I still really like the tank, but I think you might have to baby it a bit more. (personally I am going to sell my datejust rolex and get the peralmaster. It is just TDF)

I get way more compliments on my J12 than my rolex datejust. I really love my J12. My vote is get all three! If you can only buy one, get the tank. Very feminine.
