On Thursday Saks is supposed to be getting in a Chanel J12 for me to take a look at.

I'm thinking about buying it for my girlfriend but want to see it in person before I make the full commitment to purchase it. I actually found out about the watch in a Porsche forum. A few of the guys there suggested it.

Is there anything I should be sure to look at the watch for before buying it? I doubt that there will be anything wrong with it but I'm picky and want everything perfect about it.

What a great and thoughtful gift.:smile1:

I have a white J12 w/diamond bezel, and I'm getting a black J12 w/diamond markers on Thursday as well (to take advantage of the EGC event).

Very nice idea--I dont think there should be anything in particular that ou should look for..Saks is a very reputable company...I luv this watch and have debated about getting it myself...GooD Luck--she is going to luv it!!!!

You will be given a gift card or cards for different amounts depending on what you spend on the 22nd. I have a Saks credit card and I believe you have to be a card holder to take advantage of this. I think the max gift card amount is $400.00 which you would qualify for if you meet the other requirements.
I have the 38mm white J12 with diamond bezel and diamond band/bracelet. I LOVE it, this baby has over 6ct of diamonds!!! Since you are purchasing from Saks you should not have any concerns about the J12. It is a great watch and a fashion statement as well. I am sure you g/f will be thrilled!!

Thanks for the comments. :smile1:

May I ask what is the EGC event? I'd like to take advantage of this too if possible.

It's the Saks gift card event. One day only on Thursday Feb. 22nd.

The more you spend the bigger the gift card you get:

$250 - $499 = $25
$500 - $999 = $50
$1,000 - $1,999 = $150
$2,000 - $2,999 = $300
$3,000 or More = $450

Penny, you don't need to have a Saks card to take advantage of the EGC event.

Oh this is great info. :yahoo: I was not sure about making the purchase that day or not. However, with this info I am now almost 100% sure I will buy the watch. I knew being a part of this forum would be helpful. :smile1:

I think I'm going to apply the gift card towards an LV bag for her now too. But I'll keep the LV bag for a while and surprise her with it later. Or maybe I should give her the LV bag first and then surprise her with the J12 later. :graucho:
