To me, it looks like a previous owner had their initial stamped into the bag. You should inquire with the the seller about it.

Looks like a monogram to me.
Hermes stamps their sale items in a discreet location, but I've never seen Chanel do it.

Paris a S is stamped for a sale item...

were your bags bought here in the US or from Europe...

there might be a difference.. when Chanel bags get reduced in dept

stores, there is no marking on the handbag..when Chanel has their

sample sales, don't know if the S is used to show the item was on sale

like Hermes puts an S on sale or discontinued items..
