Chanel for Mom's Big Birthday + Mother's Day!

i guys, i got this bag for my mom yesterday because it will be her big milestone birthday next month coupled with mother's day. i got it at a reseller but it is brand new, i paid $1450 for it. all i know is this is the Sirpique tote, it has a pretty large pouch inside that is removable, and i love the contrast black stitching on the cream/beige leather! does anyone know which season is this from, what size this is and most importantly, did i get ripped off??

what number does the serial number start? You'll be able to find out what year it was released. From memory i think it was about 2003-04.
