Chanel Fine Jewelry Quality?

Can owners of Chanel's fine jewelry comment on the their quality and wear over time? Do you feel like the quality of fine jewelry has decreased in recent years similar to bags?

I'm thinking about purchasing some camellia and coco crush pieces since I really like their design, but know very little about Chanel fine jewelry and would like some perspective before taking the plunge. Thanks!

I have the Chanel premiere promise eternity diamond band. Bought it in 2017 and I wear that ring pretty much everyday.

Because it's an eternity band, it will not scratch or show scratches that prominently, so I can't say much on scratches but since it's fine jewelry, I assume that the gold will show wear as normally as any other fine jewelry brand. Looking at it now, it looks pretty darn good on the sides of the band as well.

The diamonds are still as beautiful as the day I bought it and they have been set well. No loose or fallen stones.

I only have one piece of fine jewelry and I have not bought any recently so I cannot compare it to the quality of fine jewelry today, but personally, I don't think the quality has decreased over time.

In terms of value, all fine jewelry does depreciate in value since luxury brands hike up the price of fine jewelry A LOT. It's really the brand and design you are paying for.

The camellia is very signature to the Chanel brand and history, so in terms of relevance I can see it having lasting longevity.

The coco crush, while a new collection, the longevity may be there. I remember speaking to the fine jewelry SA about it and he said Chanel had a very very similar collection a while back. As in, they have had this design on their fine jewelry piece before. The design itself pays homage to the famous quilting of the Chanel classic flaps and I personally think it is simple and clean enough to be quite a timeless piece. I have definitely looked at it a few times myself haha. I especially love the ones with no diamonds actually because I love the simplicity of the lines.

Just my thoughts here and there, but hope it helps!

I’m a little embarrassed to say that I have four coco crush rings - two of which are the exact same yellow gold ring but in different sizes. The coco crush is really easy to style and I find it comfortable for stacking. I stack mine with the mini coco crush with diamonds and it’s gorgeous. But I also stack with other rings and it pairs really well. I will say that it is prone to scratches (the small/middle size). I wore one to the beach and my sunblock lotion got caught in the creases and I ended up stopping by a jewelry store for them to clean it out. The other thing is the small/middle size traps water since the inside of the ring is hollow. So if you don’t air your finger out the skin under the ring wrinkles and starts peeling.
I purchased two of them preloved- but will say that if you’re not saving $500 or more it’s probably better to buy in store in case you want to get full service from the boutique.
Lastly my SA said that the beige gold doesn’t wear off like the pink gold at Cartier. I love their beige gold

Hollow! Oh, that is new! I haven't gone to see them in person (not that committed yet lol) but it's good to know, thanks!

Hello! I own a coco crush ring and after I wear it for a longer time , under the ring , the skin looks like it was burnt.:-s

Is your ring a very secure and snug fit? It may not allow the skin to breath.
All of my rings are just barely loose enough to spin around on my fingers (sometimes on their own, other times when I spin/turn them purposefully myself).

I have a mix of Chanel Fine Jewelry pieces I posted on tpf back when I got them...you may be able to still find the threads in the Chanel forums and my super old Calisnoopy Showcase thread if you search on here lol

I think they've all held up quite well and I have a great relationship with my Chanel Fine Jewelry boutique director so they always take care of my pieces with annual polishing and re-rhodiuming for the WG pieces especially since I like to keep them all super white gold color and sparkly and scratch free (even tho I know it takes off gold each time this is done too so a lot of times places will discourage you from getting your pieces polished/re-rhodiumed too much at all) but it's all up to the owner of the pieces at the end of the day I guess

I think the Camellia pieces are all so iconic and very Chanel and their Star/Cometes collection too as well as the newer Coco Crush theme tho I've only noticed it since the brand new Coco Crush came out in all pave diamond 18K WG bracelet

Thanks for confirming, i think the one i talked to is still learning the ropes.. she is not the fine jewellery specialist, who told me today that they can replate it but advised to do so after a good number of years at least
