Chanel classic medium back

Hi looking at buying my first Chanel and wondered what these dents are on the back. I have looked at bags on Sothebys and Vestiare Collective and all the classic flaps have them? Just wondered if anyone would check theirs for me just to put my mind at rest please?

Ah, thank you. It looks like a dent at either side so was worried it was a fault!!! Is it something stitched from the other side then?

Yes the inner pocket. You don't want to use that pocket though, otherwise this stitch will pop.
