Chanel classic Leboy or seasonal Leboy for first Chanel bag?

Hi everyone,
I'm currently planning to buy my first chanel bag and I am contemplating between the classic leboy in black caviar skin (gold hardware) or the 23B Leboy with handle (picture attached). Any advice or suggestions?

I’m not a Boy fan, or a top handle fan (I understand it’s an unpopular opinion lol)
If I had to pick I wouldn’t choose top handle

Not a fan of the top handle on the Boy… IMHO I think the boy looks the best with ruthenium hardware, in line with its edgy feel

I love all my boy bags! My first one I purchased back in 2018 and they’re my most worn bags and I own several chanel bag styles. I would suggest getting the classic Le Boy! I’m not a fan of the boy bag style with the top handle. It’s a beautiful bag without the extra bells and whistles.

And I suspect that top handle makes the boy only wearable at one length? Which is my favorite thing about my boys, switching lengths with extreme ease

Buy the one that you immediately adore the most and gravitate towards by gut instinct. While all of us have definite
opinions one way or the other, we don’t know your taste, wardrobe, lifestyle. Im surprised to find that I think the top handle boy is cute.

I would get the classic boy as I am not a fan of rigid top handle. However, if you like it and will use it more with handle then get that.

I would go with the classic boy bag.

If you have the opportunity to pick between the two, you will never regret purchasing a classic over a seasonal bag. Especially down the road if you decide to resell it.

My first bag was the classic boy. However, if I could go back in time, I'd get classic flap as my first bag.

I would stick with classic. I wish the strap was removeable. Keeping both top handle and strap is a little too much hardware, no?

Agree that top handle and strap is a little too much hardware and might be too heavy so I went for the classic one instead.

preloved flaps are expensive as well, I'm still looking. I say buy what makes me happiest. If it's your first, get the le boy, get the Chanel experience!!
