Im considering buying a vintage bronze leather Istanbul. would anyone have thoughts on the bronze leathers ? I looked at another metallic in silver a while back and it was rather worn looking for its age. Any thoughts on the Istanbul bags or the bronze leathers? Many thanks

Unfortunately how treated leather will ware overtime is very hard to predict. I also have seen some really worn metallic Chanel bags. However, my 15C blue gray iridescent caviar has no signs of ware and has been worn a lot in rain and other occasions. My 16C mermaid flap also has no signs of ware, but I have not worn it in a wile since I find it rather dated looking due to oil sleek rainbow hardware. In general, I think older models of metallic and iridescent leather tend to have more problems and are more prone to significant ware and tare.
