Hi everyone! What do you guys think about this year’s caviar type? IMO it looks and feels dry. It is also flat to touch, very minimal texture. Attaching pictures of my new classic flap, taken facing the light source

The leather does look more matt than usual n the quilts not so visibly as puffy. I usually look at the top of the bag from an angle to assess the "puffiness" . Like the arrow drawn on the photo, if viewed from that angel, the line seems to be too straight without any obvious bumps n humps n puffiness of the quilts.
The last picture is showing more of the true color of the flap. The other ones are reflecting too much light.
What did you end up doing?Did you keep your bag? My bag looks exactly like yours, and I’m thinking of doing an exchange. It was a gift so I didn’t see it when my husband purchased it. MATTE…zero sheen.
i'm not sure if the sizes make any differences. This is just my own opinion So i first got the medium CF back in May 2023 but returned because i was not happy with the quality like dry flat caviar and loose threads etc. I do admit that i was super picky buyer, well i had to as the bag is $10k plus. They had like 5 of them in stock, 2 of them looked like ur bag and the rest just looked dull, so i found none of them were worth it, they just looked cheap. since it was my first CF, i thought i needed to get the medium size but later on i realized that small is so much better for my body size, so i requested the SA to show me the small size. OMG love at first sight, it's so puffy, shiny caviar, everything just perfect and beautiful. I got the small CF black caviar in GHW and super happy with it. It was my best CHANEL purchase ever!!!!

Does your bag have any lumpy quilts? Mine does…driving me crazy!! I just don’t want to settle.
I think this leather would be perfect with the matte black hardware or even the silver. I do prefer the shiny puffy caviar, but i don't mind this one either.
