Hi. I need some advice and your wisdom with Chanel beaute bags. I'm not talking about the ones you get as a bonus with products on the website as in the canvas ones like the holiday gift sets but rather ones that are VIP bags given out at the counters, if that is true. I have seen on eBay small bags that are described as VIP bags or given as a gift with purchase. Do Chanel give these type of gifts out or are counterfeiters telling lies? I have attached a couple of examples of the type of bags that are being passed of as gifts. I know they aren't leather, are massively made in China and obviously aren't the best quality. If anyone could also point myself in the right direction on here or elsewhere where I could cross reference models that have been made would be great also? Thanks!

Last year there were 2 versions that I saw, silver with a star card holder on chain and a hot pink iridescent pouch with carabiner that were given out to Chanel VIP.
As far as I know, Chanel beaute VIP gifts are the snowglobes.
Basically, yes there are authentic VIP gift "bags" floating around. How to authenticate, I honestly don't know.

Thanks. Do counterfeiters bother making fakes of these types of bags?

I advise against this purchase, a bit more will get you a piece from the collection that would give you better peace of mind, that's not someone's "free gift". Know what I mean? :yes:

I do love the bag with the star on it though...I love a tiny bag!

Are there obvious signs to look out for with the beaute bags that it's not real? Would I be allowed to post a authentication request in the authenticate my Chanel area for a beaute bag?

I wouldn't know honestly. I haven't looked at those very closely.

Defo try in the authentication forum and see what the admins say! Good luck!

I'm not asking if that particular bag in my photo is authentic. I am asking if Chanel did commission this particular model of bag as a gift for Beaute members & do these bags given as a gift have any sort of code number/letter sticker inside and come with any sort of certificate etc.

If anyone knows of a particular website that will list Chanel bags given as a gift that I can research I would be grateful.
