Chanel Bag staining my clothes

I purchased a bag at DFS back in Spring 2021. It was the seasonal Sweet mini square in Navy Caviar. Recently, it has been staining my clothing, particularly anything made of natural fibers (cotton & linen so far).

I’m thinking I should call Chanel client services and set up an appointment, right? I’m just worried since it’s a seasonal piece they won’t do anything for me & it will just be a waste of time.

You should! That's not acceptable. The same thing happened to me at Goyard. I brought the bag in and they shipped it out for repair, free of charge. It took a few months but the new straps no longer stained my clothes.

I’ve never heard of that, I’d take it in for them to check

I would take it back immediately to see what they can do. I always go back to my original boutique SA if possible, but that should not be necessary . Good luck!

You likely are experiencing color transfer if the clothes you were wearing were light should that be
the case, but the Chanel bag needs to go back & would be firm about a solution..

I never heard of caviar leather staining clothes. How do you store your bag? Do you live in a humid and hot weather area. But definitely bring it back to the store!! Hope they could do something about it!

I do live in a humid area but, my bags are always stored in a dark place with AC 24/7.

When I did my research about it I heard about it happening with Goyard bags. Hopefully they will be able to fix it 🙏🏼
