Chanel Ala Moana?

My SA today placed an order for me, said she found the item at Ala Moana but when I looked, it looks like that location is temporarily closed, along with other non essential stores. Does anyone know if they are still there and processing orders? I am paranoid because in earlier this year when all the COVID stuff started, we ordered from a LV store and when everything closed down we were unable to receive the item for almost 2 months. Thanks if anyone has any info.

Our retailers are temporarily closed because of our Governor's orders but we will find out soon when they will reopen

Any idea if they are still processing orders and just closed to the public? I know Houston Chanel was like that for a while but I was still able to order with my SA. Thanks for your response, I am really wondering if I need to talk to my SA about ordering my item somewhere else (maybe she wasn't aware) but I always thought they confirm availability before they order so that is why I thought they may still be working behind the scenes.
 
Well I was just informed from my SA that placed the order that she can't change it and if they are closed, then I am left just sitting and waiting until they reopen. I think this is COMPLETELY unacceptable, most SAs check on availability before they place an order but to say that she can't change the store or cancel the order is extremely disappointing. This exact thing happen with LV in April and an order was stuck for 2 months in limbo. We do not spend so much on items to receive 2-3 months later, some items are seasonal and bought for this exact reason.....the season. I know no one can control circumstances such as this but to say "I placed the order at a boutique that may be closed and there is nothing you can do about it, you just have to wait" is the wrong answer. I have not ordered from LV since that issue and now even poorer response from Chanel.

So now even more important to me to confirm the status of the Chanel in Ala Moana, does anyone know if they are fulfilling orders while closed? Does anyone have a SA there or heard anything at all about their status? Thank you for your time.

From my experience back in April they were not filling the orders until they officially reopened. My sa texted me saying he received my pink vanity and I could pay over the phone, but they wouldn't ship until they opened a week later.

This was at the Waikiki boutique, so I would assume ala moana would be similar.

Yea that is the same thing LV did but Houston before they re-opened to the public was processing orders, I know because I ordered something. To me just crazy to place an order to a boutique that is closed and when I ask tell me I have to just deal with it more or less. If it was a limited edition item or something impossible to find, give me the option to place and wait but for an item that is widely available, it is frustrating. This was her mistake and to say she can't change the store or cancel it is difficult for me to swallow. Trying not to let this ruin the excitement in the bag that is getting delivered today (from a different SA, shame on me should have used her). Thank you for your reply, will try to stay optimistic and patient.

yeah, she should have disclosed that before placing the order. That's so annoying!! Can I ask which bag this is? I'm dying of curiosity haha

The one coming today?? I can't tell you, it is a secret :lol: ....I did mention it in another post but as always picture will be coming when I get it.

The order from Ala Moana is just earrings, maybe why the SA does't seem to care (although I just bought a bag from her last week). After telling me she doesn't have that information about their status and telling her how unacceptable that is, I guess now she miraculously confirmed they are still shipping orders, that was the ONLY question I asked her in the first place before the 1-3 word responses......but I digress.

This has been a good Chanel year and we have a bag from every season in 2020 and not going to let this debacle of the earring order to ruin that. Just happy (and nervous) for the order today, these are one of the colors you have to see in person but looked incredible in picture, although even those were limited because ordered pre lease :loveeyes:

Omg I know what you're talking about now LOL. I saw a video of that on Facebook last night. I'm excited to hear your thoughts once it arrives today;)
 
I spoke with an SA at Waikiki store who has a card case I was looking for (at their store in HI) but couldn't even place the order for me. I'm assuming that means they aren't processing orders during the closure

I have an SA there and when I texted him, there was an auto reply message stating that the boutique was closed, due to the Hawaii Shutdown Mandate. The manager at the Ala Moana boutique Lauren is available to assist with inquiries, purchases, or returns. Her contact number is 808.518.0063. Hope this helps. Stay safe!

Wow, I greatly appreciate that info!! and @pinkellephant too. I have not had a chance to get back on and update but as we all found out, they are in fact closed HOWEVER apparently managers are going in intermittently and processing orders. So by end of day today, I end fact received shipping information so hopefully all the worry was much ado about nothing. Thank you though to everyone that replied and tried to get info and big thank you @HI_maintenance for the info, luckily I did not have to bother anyone.

Well hate to be boring but this purchase was only earrings. Having said that, we got our beautiful pink CCH from 20k and today the mini flap dark blue (teal) from 20b had to show up in our boutique so got that to. Definitely stuck in ban island rest of the year
