I will definitely choose the regular size which is already small ,why would you choose a smaller one!
The smaller will be not so functional in my opinion.

I don't understand making the WOC even smaller!

The mini WOC does fit the max phone -- but it really bulges out on the side, where the leather usually creases inwards it forces it to crease outwards. The mini WOC is also wider since it has two sections to put items in versus the original WOC that only has the one main compartment.
