Chanel 19 WOC - thoughts on bag and price point?

Hi ladies!

I was originally looking at a red classic WOC but my SA showed me the Chanel 19 WOC which I’m now in love with. It’s $3050USD (or $3850CAD). Another SA said she doesn’t think it’s worth it for the price point, because it’s $500+ more than the classic and it’s sneaking up to the cost of a mini or actual handbag (not SLG). What do you gals think? Also thoughts on the Chanel 19 WOC in general? :)

Honestly I think the value for money just isn't there for the woc. It's only like 1.5K below the medium 19 bag which I think might be the better option if you're interested in something that might be a bit more practical. This is especially true because I usually use a woc more for an occasion whereas I see both 19 bag and woc as being rather casual styles. Up to you though =)

I love the look of it!
When it comes to price, I really think it comes down to how often you will use it. That's roughly how much I paid for my Trendy CC WOC. I find the WOC to be so lightweight and practical, I've definitely used it waaaay more than my classic flap. That alone justifies the purchase for me!

Does a WOC worth the price? It totally depends on how much it suits your lifestyle and how often you are gonna use it IMHO ( cost per wear ).

As for the 19 WOC, I got the black/ beige houndstooth. It IS a bit pricey than classic WOC but it offers totally different vibes. I personally don’t love regular 19 bags because of the slouchy shape. But I do find the 19 WOC very appealing to me. It has all the classic features that a 19 bag has, the mixed metal chain, the short chain top handle and the chain around CC logo. You have more ways to carry the 19 WOC than the classic one. Therefore I guess the price is higher than the classic WOC because of more detailed craftsmanship?

In addition, mine comes with a removable classic pouch hanging on the chain, which helped me to justify the price a little bit ( the round pouch itself retails for $500 here ):lol:

I bought and sent back the Chanel 19 WOC...the chain was heavy compared to my classic WOC and the price was too high. I like the slouchyness of the Chanel 19 small bag and the WOC looked too structured and busy. I returned for a grey mini which I am loving!

I have the same 19 WOC (except in the black & white houndstooth) and I agree with all your points! :tup::heart: Love it!

Glad that you’re enjoying using yours! I love mine too! This style is very easy to dress down and dress up thanks to the little chain top handle. Sometimes I just hand carry it, and it looks like an elegant little purse.:love:

Oh yes, how could I forget?! :lol: Shame on me :giggle: I agree, I'm loving the chain top handle! I think it's a nice addition to the WOC style :heart: Like you said it's more versatile! :smile:
