Chanel 19 Large - strap too long, any solution?

Hi, I have a Chanel 19 large in Caramel, and I find the strap is too long for my liking (short shoulder bag), I'm only 5'4, any solution to shorten the strap, please! This beautiful bag has been sitting there for 3 months already, I really want to put it in use. Thanks in advance

I have few strap shortener, but can't figure out how to clip it, since Chanel 19 strap can't wrap around the flap.

I don't understand how one can use the strap shortener on a 19 since the chain is outside of the bag.

Here on my WOC, I use the strap shortener from Amazon (comes in a pack of 5) and it works this way. I tuck it under the flap.

I took a bag to a local dry cleaners that specializes in cleaning handbags. They were able to shorten it to exactly the length I wanted. I don’t think it’s all that difficult for any place that specializes in leather and/or bags.

edit: It was a chain strap.

Is anyone able to help with info on the chain strap length on the large 19 (30cm) please. I have seen conflicting articles online which say that the strap drop is 20inches or 18 inches. I'm wondering if there are different variants? Any help would be much appreciated and sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place. Thank you.
