Chances for a new Murakami collaboration…?

He did quite a few collaborations in earlier 2000. I really loved MC, eye you, cherry blossom and cerises. Panda was cool also. After that I have not been that excited though. I would love them to get MC line back. Or have some print on monogram that is inspired from his other art. But no intel or guesses what is to come.

About collaborations… Now that written logos were so in I was a bit surprised that Stephen Sprouse Graffiti was not reintroduced.

Yes, an updated version of MC could be so luscious… now that there’s other new leather and shape options…

I think the cherry blossom and cherries are my favorite, I was too young when those came out so never got to own them… I think I would absolutely go crazy for a new version with some of those colorful smiling flowers on canvas
:happydance:

I wonder if LV doesn’t want to repeat collaborations? Maybe they went for Kusama because (as terrible as it sounds) there is a limited time for her to be around to make one…

There was rumor of talks but who knows. Honestly it should be Murakami and Stephen Sprouse deserve a new collaboration.
Both have helped LV to become so popular.
Now how do I go about making those Murakami rumors a reality? I still have my Stephen Sprouse leopard stole from the 2000s and have worn it here and there over the last couple of decades. I don’t know how they could do another round since he passed in 2004 though…

It has been released twice... so I don't see a third time. I have a Multicolore Speedy and a Graffiti Speedy and get lots of use out of them. There are some great older bags to be found!

I'm really pleased you have, love and use them. They are fab and so evocative of an era.

The Cherry Blossom (2003) with the little faces was  - stopping for me, I would have killed for a Sac Retro. Panda was gorgeous as well.

I'm not the same age anymore, I'm not the same anymore, plus, I have a lot of bags now. And while I don't believe in age-appropriate dressing at all :nono: (yuck to that) the 'cute' seat in my wardrobe is occupied if the cute-mood rages. I checked a SR out about 3 years ago but - you know, Covid and the 'end of the world' etc. Even though I could buy one, I feel like that time has gone.

Panda SLG though :graucho:

I would like to see what he'd do now.

I really would love to see another Murakami collaboratio, even a reissue of older collaboration. I wish fashion doesn’t have to be always new concept all the time.

Same here in a way, if I needed to satisfy my urge for flowers on canvas I know I could get a vintage one …. But I kind of want an updated version more perhaps?

I just think of these flowers and the designs that could come out and swoon.

Kusama first collab was in 2012? and Murakami was 2002?

With Pharrell as new men's creative director, I hope there's possibility of 2nd Murakami release. He's often worked with Takashi Murakami.
Yes, I think it could happen under Pharrell Williams too… I’m generally excited to see what he does, Murakami wishes aside
