How well does Chamonix withstand getting wet?

I've mentioned this several times before that chamonix does not like rain or getting wet. A single drop will show up in the leather.

The store manager also mentioned this to me since I'm interested in getting a chamonix Kelly. He said that if I get one, I should only wear it when it's really 0% chance of rain!

yup - chamonix is GORGEOUS IRL but terribly delicate... my SA thought i was bonkers for wanting one - esp. when he knows that my lifestyle requires well ... sturdier handbags...
