Chalk mini studded Edie or Chalk Whiplash Tatum Tote?

Please help me to make a decision between two beautiful bags. I recently bought the Chalk Mini Studded Edie during the last PCE sale. I haven't used it yet and tags are still attached.
When I bought the Edie I had also tried on the Chalk Whiplash Tatum Tote, which I also liked. However, I bought the Edie because I don't have a studded bag and strong SA influence., and I already have a small Whiplash black Dakota. Anyway, I went back to the FP store today to look at the Chalk Whiplash Tatum Tote again and am considering returning my Edie for this bag! Or I've considered keeping the mini studded Edie and getting a Tatum Tote in another color. (I have five Phoebes and the Edie is so much like the Phoebe except for the studs). Today I also looked at the Coral with gold whiplash and the teal with dark nckel whiplash (like my Dakota), as well as the Nude Whiplash. Anyway, which would you choose: Chalk Mini studded Edie or Chalk Tatum Tote? Or just keep the Edie and get the Tatum Tote in another color?

It is so funny that you are considering these, I too am thinking about the Chalk Tatum tote! I am more of a one compartment girl, I never got into Maggie/Phoebe/Edie, but a lot of women love them. Which one do you find you think about more? Also, if you already have 5 Phoebes, I would probably say go with Tatum.

I would return the mini Edie and get the chalk whiplash Tatum. The leather is durable, and probably one of SV's most best designs imo. I can take it out in the rain, anything, and it looks just as new! I was really surprised with how well my red workwear Tatum was wearing, even with the suede bottom. Highly recommended!

If you can keep the Edie - and LOVE her, I'd do that, and get a Tatum. Friday, I went in with thoughts of buying the Teal Tatum Tote - but the Chalk and Nude kept calling my name. It's so well made - and unique - and we may not see similar again (even though so many on TPF love the Dakotas and Tatum Totes - they didn't sell well overall - ending up at outlets and SAS).

+2 I have the mini-studded Edie in black and the whiplash Tatum in black and coral. I LOVE all three and think they are about the best SV has done, especially the whiplash Tatum Tote. Leather is thick and sturdy. I used the black one during a midwest winter, and it held up so well. I'd love another but can't use chalk or nude.
