Chalcedony care??

Hi everyone, I just bought a white gold and chalcedony cabochon ring and I was wondering how chalcedony holds up and how to care for it

Chalcedony care is pretty simple. It's fairly durable (think quartz). Basic cleaning, mild detergent like half ammonia/half hot water. Rinse and dry well. Ultrasonic clean is ok but just for a couple of minutes. Treat it like you would treat any a quartz.

im thinking of exchanging it for something else now...im second guessing my choice because its smaller than my tastes usually like. there was this lemon quartz ring bordered by peridot and blackened gold that i think im going to exchange it for. the chalcedony is pretty but maybe not funky enough for me I usually go with things that stand out and really "pop" do you think I should exchange it gnomenisse?
the chalcedony is very simple- 3/4 inch chalcedony with thin white gold band that wraps around it.
the lemon quartz is way bigger and has the peridot pave and black gold which i find soo different and I love it!!

I think its too "classic" looking for me, i'm going to the jewellers today to exchange it for a lemon quartz ring that I was deciding between....i"ll post pics when I get back

Most Chalcedony is dyed so it does require special care. I would not use any amonia based products on it for cleaning...just simple dawn and water.
