CF Black would you prefer GHW or SHW?

Would love light gold buu I guess black never comes with light gold hardware.. ?

Its a personal preference, but I prefer silver, but I also prefer to wear white gold or platinum jewelry.

I'm usually a gold hardware gal but lately I've been loving silver hardware and bought a hermes picotin in black and silver and looking at getting a small CF in black with SHW.

for CF I'd like it to be more special occasion bag, so I chose GHW. For minis, I have SHW and LGHW so it is diverse since I have both gold and white gold jewelries

Gold for me although I prefer silver hardware on the more casual Chanel designs like the 19, Boy etc. I don’t wear jewelry except my wedding band and engagement ring so don’t have to worry about matching. While I have no intention of selling my bags, I have observed a CF with gold hardware is more sought after and fetches a higher price.

I do like silver hardware recently but for black it’s got to be gold as it’s so classic and elegant
Silver is a bit too casual with black but works so well with other colours

Depends on your style:

- SHW works more for an edgier look
- GHW gives more of a traditional, elegant, and mature vibe

I personally prefer GHW with black bags because my wardrobe is on the dressier, more feminine side, zero edginess, but it really does come down to personal preference.

Gosh, I love them both…. I have a 2.55 225 reissue in black with gold hardware and a vintage small classic flap in black lambskin with the gold. So, a few months ago, I bought the black medium classic caviar flap with silver hardware to round out my collection and have a silver option.

I must say, that I love that silver on black more than I thought I ever would - and even more each time I use it. The silver is so bright and white. Sometimes, I look at it and think, “Wow! What a stunner!” (Although, I confess I also think that when I glance at those two black/golds — it’s Chanel, after all!!!).

Generally speaking, I reach for the gold hardware for most dressier occasions. But, I find the silver is more versatile - it can easily go from casual to dressy and can be equally as stunning and elegant as the gold IMHO.
