Hi Ladies,

I'm looking for anyone who has a Center Stripe Sutton. I'm considering the luggage/black/white version. I also am considering the color block Selma but am leaning toward the Sutton. How versatile is this bag overall? I've been looking for a bag with these three colors for a long time and have had trouble finding something that works.

Is it heavy? How long is the shoulder strap? Do you struggle to match it with what you wear or does it work well without too much thought? I'm trying to decide if this bag is a good fit or one that I should just be content to admire from afar. Thank you!:smile1:

I just purchased the center stripe tricolor Sutton in navy/white/luggage. I was also considering the color block Selma, but opted for the Sutton. I didn't like that the Selma color blocking included full sides of the bag rather than a center stripe like the Sutton.

I have 3 Selma's so was able to compare them to the Sutton. The Sutton is lighter than the Selma because the saffiano leather is thinner. However, when you fill it up with your stuff, it can get just as heavy as the Selma.

The shoulder strap is the same length as on the Selma. In fact, the shoulder straps are interchangeable because they are exactly the same. However, the Sutton is slightly taller and narrower than the Selma, so it actually looks like it falls lower on your side when worn cross body or on the shoulder than the Selma.

I haven't actually used my Sutton yet, but I know it will work well with my summer wardrobe. All the colors on the bag are neutrals, which I like. I was really looking for a bag with navy and white (nautical colors) and love that it also has the luggage sides, handles, and strap (a great neutral summer accent color which I prefer over black). I love navy, but didn't want an all-navy colored bag, so this one fits me perfectly.

I plan to use it with my lighter, solid colored, summer linens in white, beige, tan, taupe, brown, navy, summer blue, pink, red, green, yellow, etc. I probably won't wear it with prints or patterns to prevent clashing of all the colors. It definitely won't be my every day bag. I see it more as a spring/summer, dress up or dress down, outfit-inspired bag.

Thanks so much for this insight. I"m trying to decide if this bag is too dressy for me, although I love how it looks. I've also looked at the center stripe tote--a bit more casual and that's a possibility--but I really love how this bag looks. I would hope to use it in many situations so I'm wondering if it might take too much coordinating to pull it off--I don't like to spend too much time planning my wardrobe.:D

Thank you!

I really love how this bag looks, too, over the color block Selma or tote. Don't be afraid of it being too dressy. I actually think it can be worn with casual attire as well as dressy attire. Maybe you can give it a try and see how it looks against items in your wardrobe before making a full commitment to keep it. That's what I did. Good luck with your decision.
