Celine v YSL v Givenchy

I’m looking to purchase a nice bag for my upcoming birthday and I’ve had my heart set on the Celine belt bag in taupe. But I know it’s been released awhile ago and I’ve been doing some research and thought maybe it’ll be better to get something classic instead. I’ve wanted the small Givenchy Bag forever and I read the Ysl sac de jour is classic. What do you think?
Also, black or the taupe color?

I was here the last time I need your opinion choosing my first nice bag and I ended up getting the balenciaga city in black with gold hardware.
I’m looking to purchase my next baby for my upcoming birthday and I’ve had my heart set on the Celine belt bag in taupe. But I’ve been doing some research and thought maybe it’ll be better to get something classic instead so I was thinking the small Givenchy Bag or the Ysl sac de jour.
Which one would you get and also what color? Black or taupe?

my vote is for the ysl but I also like the celine as well.

I like Celine the most from the three. The only thing that bothers me is closure on belt bag. YSL seems to be the easiest to use. I vote for taupe color, it’s a nice neutral.

Sac de jour would have been my top choice, even though I'm a huge fan of Celine.

Céline in taupe. The Antigona is very pretty, but I think it’s large. The YSL is the most classic, but I feel like you could get a similar looking bag in several brands.

i love all of the bags you‘re deciding between. here are my opinions on each of them:
- the belt bag is gorgeous but i‘ve read and looked up a lot about it and it seems to be the most complicated to use out of the bunch. it‘s kind of a bit of a struggle to open the bag and close it again while actually using it.
- the ysl sac de jour is an absolute classic. it‘s gorgeous, can be dressed down but also looks like an amazing business woman bag! it‘s easy to use but people do say it tends to be a bit heavy
- the givenchy antigona is gorgeous. i tried the small size several times in several different styles and it‘s not for me. i like to put my hands on my shoulders as well as hand-held but it‘s quite bulky on the shoulders. i feel like i‘d constantly run into people with the bag. i ended up going with the mini antigona in smooth black leather and I LOVE IT. if you do consider a mini bag maybe, you could look into the mini antigona. if you mainly use your bags hand held anyway, then the antigona small is a great choice and seems quite a bit more durable than the ysl sac de jour.

I have the medium antigona in black and I love it because it has a nice wide shoulder strap so the bag can be worn as a shoulder bag and doesn't dig in. the shoulder straps on the other bags are too narrow for me to be comfortable. You can also obviously wear it on your arm like a regular handbag as well. The other bags are also lovely so think about how much space you need and if you tend to carry around a lot of stuff and whether narrow shoulder straps bother you or not.

ETA the strap on the medium is wider than on the small and hangs closer to the body so it's better as a shoulder bag than the small. I could see how the small could bang around a bit if you used the shoulder strap.

I own a celine belt so I am biased and vote for that. Also, there are rumors swirling that the belt bag and other various celine's will be discontinued with Hedi taking over. Truthfully, you cannot go wrong.
