This is funny bc I’m not seeing any price increase on my website at all hardly and I read a comment by someone it was less than 20% on items. They swore up and down yesterday it was entire store - do the associates not know or do they say it so they get a ton of sales?

Likely a little of both. Some SAs will be VERY open with you about what pieces are increasing (I’ve had some actually show me their internal comms/price lists), while others either make broad statements or go with what they hear from other customers/social media rumors.

A 20% increase across the board seems extreme for Celine (certain items, sure…but everything, nah)…they were likely just trying to create urgency to get you to buy. I’m just glad the increases weren’t too bad.

My SA kept asking the manager what pieces specifically in front of me and the manager kept saying it’s across the board.

Price increase pending or not, I never buy what I wasn’t planning on buying or wouldn’t normally buy anyways because I’ve gotten swept up in that before and been regretful. I do not like not having transparency though - particularly on a managerial level!

Some of the items were 20% for certain, some not. I’m wondering if they will all raise eventually and they are doing it in phases. A lot of stores do that. Tiffany last year started with diamonds and it went in phases. VCA will raise something and wait on other items but it’s all in the master price increase plan.

Second time in to the boutique today to check out the small 16 in Natural leather. Price increase means this is now a $4700 bag. I REALLY want it, but it will be 5k with taxes and I can’t stomach that price for this bag. To me, that’s into Chanel territory.

Came home and went the pre-loved route with a bag I had saved in cart on a site I trust. Price I can live with. Appears excellent condition. Crossing my fingers!
