I have started this 'Thread' to help anyone going to Paris. So if you have any 'helpful tips', please post here.
Céline opened their flagship store in Avenue Montaigne last year (Tel 01 40 70 07 03). The street is easy to find - if you are on the Champs Élysées, walk down to the very end of the street and you will find the Avenue on the right. The Avenue is full of designer flagship stores and the famous Hotel Plaza Athénée.
Two famous department stores can be found next to the Opéra Garnier. They are Printemps and Galeries Lafayette and have the most wonderful selection of goods. (Céline can be found in Galeries Lafayette). Both of these stores have panoramic views across Paris from their roof tops. All of these areas are on the Right Bank near the tourist spots.
Depending how long you are staying in Paris, you may wish to visit the iconic Left Bank. The Le Bon Marché is owned by LVMH and is just a walk away from the famous Notre Dame or can be reached by the nearest metro station Sèvres Babylone. The store has undergone a massive update in the past few years with millions of euros having been spent on the store. As Céline is owned by LVMH, the store has a good stock of items. (Téléphone number in France is 01 42 84 35 83). Happy shopping!
