Hi Everyone;

I love the saint laurent sac de jour and think its a great everyday bag, but I love the celine luggage (micro/mini) bag as well! For me, I find the bags fit the same needs so I wouldn't need both!

For anyone who has one or both, do you prefer one over the other? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

(I am looking at both of them in the grained/drummed leather)

I prefer the SDJ. I just can't get past the face of the Celine and in general go for east/west belted totes.

I think it depends on your style though. The Luggage is more fashion-forward to me while the SDJ is more timeless to me.

Thank you all! Do you guys think the black grained leather or taupe/dark grey ( this season) grained leather? I have a lot of black bags, but at the end of the day, I always wear those the most!

I love both as well though sometimes I feel the SDJ seriously lacks character. Sure it looks timeless but only because it's got such a classic (and common, might I add) shape. I think I actually prefer the black Fendi 2jours. I was considering the SDJ patent version as it added a bit more edge to the bag, but its sold out everywhere now. Really like Celine belt and phantom but I agree its more a 'phase' bag than SDJ. Not sure I'd still use a phantom 3 years down the road.

I have the SdJ in black grained leather an love it. Are you considering the small size? Because if you are, the shoulder strap is also a pro for the Saint Laurent. I also agree that it is more timeless than the Celine Luggage Tote. Altough the small size fits less than the Celine because of the compartments on the inside. Furthermore, the SdJ will hold its shape better that the Celine. It is made very well!

Black or taupe is a hard decision! I have a Prada Saffiano Lux Tote in grey, so I picked black for the SdJ. But I think both colours are gorgeous! Still...you can not go wrong with black! ;)

I also think the Fendi 2Jours in medium is a great alternative! And in Germany, it is almost 500 Euros cheaper than the SdJ! I just got the Petit 2Jours in fuchsia, it is a great bag.
