I think you are right about the handles. Thank you for pointing that out.Hi, how you are holding the handle in the first picture is one way that causes cracking. When you end it outwards it puts strain on the edge sealant and it will then crack. I learnt this with my first luggage bag and since then I never bend the handles this way. I was doing it by grabbing the whole bag with one handle.
I’m not sure what has caused it to crack on the other areas though.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. Yes, this one has a smooth leather and more structured.I have three, well I had 3. I sold 1 because it started to crack around the edges too much for my liking. Your handles look particularly bad but the edges look more normal for lots of wear -- my others have some cracking there, too. My nano bags are workhorses and used a lot but they do show wear/cracking and some loose threads along the edges where the strap area is. I'd have it reglazed if you plan to keep it. It could also be the type of leather you have, it looks like the smooth, which is more structured (and likely more prone to cracking) than the pebbled.
I have to ask if you have the nano luggage in kohl? Thought you might of the baby calf reference and I am considering of getting the kohl but am concerned if it will hold up as well since it's baby drummed leather...I have a baby calf nano and do not have any glazing issues. I have had it 3-4 years and carried it a lot more than you.
Aside from some color transfer on the back, mine looks brand new
looks like 15 ore more years old, then that's normal for glazing look like that.Hi! This is my Celine luggage, bought preloved at $1300, used it for 25 times (yes, i keep track) only and found the edge paint cracking already.
Do you experience this with your nano luggage? I am generally careful with my bags. What could i have done wrong?
