Ok ok I know there couldnt be 2 bags that are any further apart... but with both being tote bags I put it to anyone who owns both - which do you prefer and enjoy using the most?

I have been obsessed with both and after having bought a neverfull gm and returning it because its just too big... I wonder if I should go back for the MM or save up for a celine mini luggage.

I guess whats got me thinking is $1500 aud isnt cheap for what is essentially a canvas bag with leather trim... but if its something I can use everday and will actually last, by all means why not. While the celine is gorgeous and luxurious with the all leather... would it be something I will have to baby? And would it actually be something that I can "invest" in? Or do owners find the weight a huge deterrent it the bag actually being usable?

And to place it all on context, I recently purchase my first new designer bag which is an LV speedy b 30 in monogram and because of the vachetta Ive baby-ed it like nothing else, and now im just after a useful everyday bag I can lug around. Essentially I feel like the neverfull would fit the bill... just dont know of 1.5K on a canvas bag is worth it...

Sorry for the long post but Id lovw too get yoir opinions??

I would choose the NF. The Céline is a nice bag but I am not sure the trend will last long.....
The NF has been here for a few years and has become a classic.
It's perfect for everyday life, needs no maintenance at all.
I know lots of ladies here are obsessed with the vachetta. In France, we aren't.....😉

My vote would be for the NF. If you're concerned about the vachetta, why not a NF in DE? Either way, the NF is your best choice for a tote as you can easily "lighten the load" according to your needs that day as opposed to the Celine which, though beautiful, may be a bit heavy on its own.

Yeh that was my plan exactly. The only thing that I was concerned about was ACTUALLY SPENDING 1.5K aud on a canvas bag. I guess youre paying for a brand in the end. Its just a fact thats hard to swallow considering there are gorgeous all leather bags for the same price...

Im just hoping to get reassurance that its "worth it" in the end?

NF. I feel like Celine bags, while lovely, are more of a passing trend. LV has stood the test of time.

That true! I guess if Im going to be splurging 4k on a bag (asking price for a celine here in aus) might as well use that money towards a chanel flap. But I guess for now I dont have 4k and really need a tote... so you ladies have convinced me. A lv neverfull it is!! :D

Yes, It's worth it, facepink. LV canvas is undestructible.!😀

I like both bags, but I like the Celine luggage more, but preferably the micro over the mini size.

They are different types of totes imo, the neverfull is more of a shoulder Carry and the Celine is handheld (and can not be worn on the shoulders)

I'd say the Celine is the most "beautiful of the two" by a wide margin, but the leather is heavy and more prone to scratches than the LV. The LV is basically a nearly indestructible beach tote and find that both bags serve very different purposes.

The Celine is a fashion statement and is much easier to dress up, while the LV serves the role of carrying your stuff in a "luxurious" and unstuffy manner. You can toss the Neverfull underneath your seat in the plane or on the beach during the summer and have no fear.

Yes I agree, completely different functions, I have both and use them differently.

But it is really useful and worry-free. I haven't gotten NF yet but I have a Speedy in DE, one of the best bags that I have ever bought.

It will be a bad investment if the bag just sits in the closet. Doesn't matter if it is made of the best leather.
