Cartier’s AMAZING Shine Service

Hi All,

I wanted to share my story with you! I’ve had my love bracelet for about 2 months now, and had gotten used to the everyday scratches and wear and tear that comes with it.

I went cliff jumping in Mexico last month and as I was climbing the rocks, got a small nick on my bracelet that was a little more noticeable than others. I brushed it off as this added “experience” to my bracelet. However, this morning I happened to accidentally bang my arm against the wall and didn’t think anything of it. But when I got in the car to take my kiddies to school and put my hands on the steering wheel, I couldn’t help but notice a huge scuff on my bracelet! I could’ve cried!!! On my lunch hour I took it to my local Cartier boutique where I purchased it from. They took it in for a shine service after I pointed out the scuff. I knew I did NOT want it sent off to be polished as that would’ve taken a layer of gold off. The wonderful associate told me it would be 10 minutes, but I assured her I would be shopping so she could take her time. Upon my return (30 mins) I was so pleasant surprised to see they had gotten the scuffs out!!!! Omg, I don’t know what magic they have back there, but my bracelet is good as ever! Obviously it did not take out all the scratches (which I’m happy it didn’t) but it looks wonderful!

Wow that's amazing! Can I ask how much this shine service was? Did they mention how much gold this takes off compared to the full polish service? I imagine to get those scuffs and lighter scratches off, some gold must be lost right?

There was no charge for this service. I’m not sure if any/how much gold was lost, however, I’m happy with the result and will probably not have any other shine/polish done until absolutely necessary.

Funny you posted this because Friday I was doing some gardening and noticed my bracelets completely scuffed like sandpaper had gotten to them.
I asked on Facebook is anyone had the shine service done and wanted to know if it would get rid of the scuffs. But no one talked about it.
They suggested a gold polishing cloth so I ordered it on amazon prime and used it today and I swear it was like 90% unnoticeable. It was like I didn’t screw up my bracelets.

It’s good to know you posted this. I was scared to take it in because I read how someone left her bracelets for shine and the edges came back rounded.

Wow this is amazing! I wish I had seen your bracelets first! I’ll definitely order the polishing cloths for future use. I wouldn’t want to take my bracelet in all the time. May I ask what polishing cloths you used?
