Cartier YG Roadster - is adding links still possible?

I'm casually looking at a (preowned, obviously discontinued) YG and diamond roadster with a YG bracelet that would be too small for my wrist as it is now. Does anyone know if Cartier can add links to a watch they no longer produce? Any insight much appreciated. Should I just put the whole idea to bed? TIA.

You should ask. An SA once told me that a client could have a bracelet made from Dona? links that discontinued watch from a while back that never really caught on (inspired by Maria Felix)

Definitely reach out to Cartier! Not the same, but I have vintage roadster that I was able to get gator straps made via Cartier recently with no issues. I would bet they could still get you links.

Thanks to you both for responding! I did reach out to Cartier, and the SA said as follows:

"Solid gold links run about $900-1000 each but they do exist for Roadster collection. About an inch of those links is probably 3-4 of them."

So...good to know (but ouch!). I'll leave this thread here in case it helps anyone else later on. Happy new year!

Hi! I also have a Roadster and want to add a black alligator strap. Can you provide any details on how you got yours? Were you able to walk in to a boutique and pick one out or did you go in and have them order it? I’ll be going to a boutique in Las Vegas next month and hope to get one then. What was the price for yours? Did you already have the buckle?

Hi! Yup, I went into my local boutique and ordered the strap. They have a huge set of leather swatches so you can see/choose your color. I think I ordered mine in Sept 2019 and it was ready within 2 months. I think back then I paid around $300/350?? Yes, I did already have the buckle. I'm not sure if they keep black straps in stock.... worth a call or stop into your local boutique.
