Ive been a Cartier lover for a while and purchased my first Cartier watch back in January 2012- Cartier Tank Francaise SS/18K Midsize, Quartz mechanism. I bought it from official Cartier e-boutique- cartier.com

Love my watch. Unfortunately last week I noticed that my dear watch runs behind, first it was just 2 min, then 20 , 1 hour , by now 2 hours. I keep ajusting the time once in a while , but it will go back to being behind. So I am little bit upset- I spent over 7K on this watch and it doesnt keep the right time. Didnt abuse it, I even dont take a shower with the watch on!
So I called in Cartier today to find out what should I do next. They told me just to mail it to their RTC in Fort Worth Texas. The person I talked said just mail it in. I asked him about issuing me a mailing label, so I dont have to pay for the shipping- the watch is on the warranty afterall- he said they dont do that - that's quite disappointing, after spending so much money on the watch I have to pay for the shipping and , I guess, insurance (I am not just gonna put it in the Priority mail envelope).
So after that I hope I will not have to pay for the repair.
I have to tell they are much nicer when they are trying to sell you a watch.

Has anything like this happened to anyone else, dear ladies? And what was the outcome ? Did watch work ok after had been fixed. How long it took them to fix it? And did you pay for the repair?

I am just upset I just bought this watch few months ago and I want to enjoy it.
Also, I need an advice how should I mail it.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I would mail it registered mail. It is the safest and cheapest and the 1st $5000 is automatically covered, you would just have to pay to insure anything above that. It also gets tracked by anyone who handles it all along the way. I find it very secure. Good luck with your watch.
