Hi,

Does anyone know the price of these two Cartier watches in Paris? I am asking on behalf of a friend who will go to Paris soon for her honeymoon, and she is wondering about the price there. Thank you for any info!!

1. Ballon Blue: small, pink gold, leather band. This in the US is $9,400 according to their website
2. Baignoire, small, pink gold, leather band (W8000007)

I read somewhere in the forum for those interested in buying the Love that it was only a few dollars (like $25) difference, so it wasn't worth it to buy it in Europe. Not sure about watches though.

It would depend on the exchange rate, which seems to fluctuate quite a bit, it went from about $1.70 to buy a Euro down to $1.50 while I was there recently. Also, if you charge it on your American CC, they charge you 3%, which kind of stinks! I wonder if the prices they quote include VAT, because you get that back.

Ya if the prices include VAT then you can save some money by buying there. I did that with a watch earlier this year and saved $200 with the tax refund at the airport. Wasn't Paris but same idea.
