Hey guys so I'm planning on getting myself a new watch for Christmas however I'm really still confused as to which one to go for. I love the overall style of the tank it's very classic and minimal but it's a quartz movement. The Rolex on the other hand is a good watch in terms of investment but the style of the watch is a bit too old for my liking, the tank gives a more younger look than the Rolex. So I don't know, which one would you go for?

Cartier----It sounds like you favor the Cartier. I own a Rolex and have been loving Cartier lately. (I see more Rolex watches than Cartier and that is part of why I'm favoring Cartier.) Both are great watches but go with the one you love.

I'm not sure what budget you have to get the watch but I would always favor gold over anything. If the amount you are paying for Cartier would get you stainless steel watch and the same amount can get you a Rolex with gold then definitely I would go for Rolex! think about what would really worth the money you are paying! I love both Cartier & Rolex but I believe when it come to watches nothing beats Rolex! its a class of its own!

It really all depends on what you're looking for and preference. In my situation, I started with the classic/ timeless pieces (i.e., Rolex watch, Love bracelet with no diamonds, etc.) and built off from there. I figured, if I was not to add or buy another watch or bracelet, I know I have pieces that do not go out of style. Later on, I bought other watches and bracelets. I interchange the pieces I wear depending on mood/ occasion.

I was going for a two tone but I thought that getting a classic is more age appropriate in terms of how it'll look on me, having a gold tone just makes t looks a little too flashy for me [emoji4] although I wear a RG love on the other wrist I think it balances it anyway

Looks great! I think you will be very happy with your choice. I wear mine 24/7. It looks great with jeans or when wearing a suit. And you don't have to worry about a dead battery. Congratulations!
