I bought a Cartier watch on eBay and when I received it, it turned out to be broken. It was listed as good condition- no mention of damage.
I took the watch to Cartier and they quoted me almost $500 for the repair. I asked the seller to pay for the repair, but she refuses. She offered a refined upon return, but I don't want a refund- I wAnt the watch in the condition stated in the ad.
I am wondering if anyone might know of a very good watch repairman in Manhattan who is resonably priced. Not some guy at the front of a shoe repair place, but a proper jeweller/repairman.
I can't afford to pay for the Cartier repair, and I've waited years for this watch to come up on eBay.
